2023 IS BETTER THAN 2022 FOR INTERNATIONAL CINEMA WHAT IS THE SITUATION IN AFRICA?
While LIFACC agrees challenges lie ahead, International box office totals improved in 2023 over 2022, as the gap continues to decrease compared to pre-pandemic years. However, per capita admissions are down across most of the board, and that’s a big concern. Is it the same in Nigeria and other African countries, what can the cinema exhibitors in Nigeria and Africa do to drive more frequency and urgency, getting people back into the habit of moviegoing? Are there factors changing the audiences?
